Before Our Call

You're on the calendar — here's what to expect

A few things to know
before we talk.

This is a short read — maybe five minutes. It covers what our call will look like, what tools you may need as you build your online business, and a few things to think about beforehand so we can make the most of our time together.

I genuinely enjoy these conversations. My goal for our call is simple — understand where you are, understand where you want to go, and give you a clear picture of what it would take to get there. No jargon, no pressure, no sales pitch.

Whether we end up working together or not, I want you to leave our call with more clarity than you came with. That's always the goal.

1
What our call will look like

Our discovery call is 15 to 30 minutes — casual, conversational, and focused. Here's roughly how we'll spend the time:

  • You tell me about your businessWhat you do, who you serve, and what you're trying to accomplish online. The more clearly you can describe this, the more useful I can be.
  • I ask a few questionsAbout your current setup, your timeline, and what you need working first. These help me understand the scope before I say anything about cost.
  • I give you a clear recommendationWhich package fits, what it will cost, and how long it will take. If add-ons apply to your situation I'll mention those too.
  • You ask anything you wantNo question is too basic. If something isn't clear, ask. That's what this conversation is for.
2
What your online business will cost to run

My fee covers building your system — but the platforms your business runs on are separate subscriptions you'll own directly. I want you to know about these upfront so there are no surprises. Here's an honest breakdown:

Required for almost everyone
Systeme.io — Startup Plan
The platform your entire online business runs on. Funnels, emails, courses, payments — all in one place. Replaces tools that would otherwise cost $200+/month.
$17/mo
Required
Domain Name
Your web address (e.g. yourname.com). Registered through GoDaddy or similar. You may already have one.
$12–26/yr
Required
Stripe Account
Free to set up. How your customers pay you. No monthly fee — Stripe takes a small percentage per transaction (2.9% + 30¢).
Free
Required
Google Account
For Drive file sharing during our project and general business use. You likely already have one.
Free
Required
Likely needed depending on your model
Zoom Pro
If you run live retreats, coaching calls, or group sessions. The free plan cuts off at 40 minutes which won't work for most live experiences. Systeme.io does not include a native live session tool.
$14/mo
Likely
Vimeo
If you plan to use video anywhere on your site — introduction videos, demo clips, course content, or retreat previews — Vimeo hosts your videos privately and embeds cleanly into your Systeme.io pages. The free plan hits limits quickly. A paid plan is recommended from the start.
$12+/mo
Likely
Domain Privacy Protection
Keeps your personal name and address off public WHOIS records. Recommended for anyone using a domain for business.
$10–12/yr
Likely
Optional — nice to have
Canva
For creating graphics, social posts, and design assets. The free tier is sufficient for most coaches just starting out.
Free
Optional
CapCut Desktop
Free video editing tool for recording and producing course content. Works well for screen recording, talking head video, and splicing demo footage.
Free
Optional
Google Workspace
Gives you a professional email address at your domain (e.g. hello@yourname.com). Not required to launch — you can add it later when it matters for credibility.
$6/mo
Optional

We'll talk through which of these apply to your specific situation on our call. Most coaches starting out need Systeme.io, a domain, and Stripe — that's it to get moving.

3
A few things to think about before we talk

You don't need to have answers to all of these — that's what our call is for. But the more you've thought about them beforehand, the more useful our conversation will be.

  • What does your business do and who do you serve?Try to describe this in one or two sentences the way you'd explain it to a friend — not formal language, just plain words.
  • What do you want your online system to do?Capture leads? Sell a course? Book retreat spots? Deliver a coaching program? All of the above? Knowing your priority helps me recommend the right starting point.
  • What's your timeline? Are you ready to launch now, or are you still figuring things out? Either is fine — it just helps me understand the urgency.
  • What platforms are you currently using? If you have an existing website, email list, or online presence — even if it's minimal — it's helpful to know what's already there.
  • Do you have a domain name yet?If yes, where is it registered? If no, that's completely fine — we can sort that out together.
4
What happens after our call

Here's the simple path from our first conversation to a live online business:

After the call
You receive a written quote
A clear summary of what I'll build, what it costs, and how long it will take. No surprises.
When you're ready
You pay via secure link
A Stripe payment link for the exact quoted amount. No invoicing back-and-forth.
Once payment is confirmed
You complete the onboarding guide
A short document that tells you exactly what to gather and set up before I start building.
When everything is ready
I build your system
I work in the background and keep you updated along the way. We finish with a Zoom walkthrough where I go through everything live with you.

If you have any questions before our call — about the process, the platforms, or anything else — just reply to the message you received this from. I'm happy to answer.

Otherwise, I'll talk to you soon. Come as you are. There's no wrong way to show up to this conversation.
